Red Nose Day Success

BBTradesales had a great fundraising day on Friday 18th March 2011 for Comic Relief raising a total of £689.74. We thank everybody for their contribution to such a great cause.

Comic Relief (www.comicrelief.com) is a major charity based in the UK which strives to create a world free from poverty. The charity has been running for 25 years and its mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment. So far this year, just over £74 million has been raised.

We had various competitons, from the best dressed school person, auctions for a duvet day off work, washing cars, egg painting competitions.

Red Nose Day – Friday 18th March 2011

Comic Relief (www.comicrelief.com) is a major charity based in the UK which strives to create a world free from poverty. You may have seen fundraising campaigns such as Red Nose Day and Sports Relief. Through these campaigns they have raised millions of pounds which they have used to tackle the root causes of poverty and social injustice. Over the years they have inspired a lot of people who don’t normally ‘do’ charity to, well, do charity. And this year that includes us! We have decided to get involved and help raise some money for Red Nose Day. Why? Well, every year we sit back, tune in and enjoy the show. Feeling guilty for not getting involved, we pick up the phone and donate some money but feel that we have not really done our fair share.

So this year, all of us at BBTradesales have decided to get up off the sofa and raise some money! We have organized lots of fun activities internally such as doughnut eating competitions, left handed tea drinking, our very own sports day with events such as the good old fashioned egg and spoon race and an archery competition. We will all be coming to work dressed in School Uniform so watch out for some interesting photos!

In addition to this, we are pledging £10 for every order of £300 or more, placed between now and Friday 18th March 2011 to Comic Relief – get ordering and do your bit!
